Hello

I was wondering about water r茅sistance. I still got the original pushers and crown meaning no new seals on these parts.
Do you think it could deal with a small amount of water ? I won't swim or take a shower with it but I was washing the dishes yesterday and a bit of water went on the watch.

On a vintage watch where original seals have been retained it is best to assume there is no water resistance at all. The damage would be catastrophic if you suffer water ingress. Even misting from sudden changes in humidity can be problematic so I just wouldn't risk it personally.

If you don't know where the water went, you need to take steps to ensure that you have no moisture in the watch.
Next, you need to get a proper service to replace all seals to ensure water resistance (it will never be "waterproof"!)

This was a Seamaster that the owner thought was waterproof (never serviced, runs just fine mentality) .

Don`t worry too much. Avoid Water, but don`t panic, if washing the dishes with water splashing somewhere. The service would have replaced the back seal. the Crystal should be no problem with the correct tension ring inside. the crown seal will be a weak point, but as long as it wind smoothly , the seal in there is not a smeary mess. same with the pushers. As long as they returning crisp, the seal should be ok for some Dishwashing water splashing.... Enjoy it, wear it. Kind regards. Joachim

Hi
Another question: the chrono hour hand is slowly moving even when the chrono isn't running. It is very slow (in 2 or 3 days, the hand reachs around a 1 o'clock position).
I read some threads about chrono creep, Is the chrono hour hand supposed to be perfectly still or a small mouvement is acceptable ?

Shouldn't move unless the chronograph is running.

Ok so even this small mouvement (on picture it is after 3 days without resetting the chrono) shouldn't occur ?
The watch is just back from service 馃檨

No, it shouldn't. Whoever serviced it has not corrected the problem.

The watchmaker should be checking this - it's a standard check on this movement.
