·My wife did not get mad at the watch. She was a bit mad my coworker wrote me goofy meds. Actually policy states docs are only supposed to write employees emergency scripts of anti biotics and basic stuff but my mom had just passed and her last days were tough to see so everyone kinda looked the other way bent the rules a bit.
In retrospect I think the 37.5 was the wise choice. It seems the PO kinda sticks up off your wrist I think the 39.5 would have made me feel self conscious. I gave one of my clients ten bucks out of my pocket to take the bus to visit his daughter. I felt bad as I knew it was his daughter’s B-day I wanted him to be with her but he got high with the ten spot instead of taking the bus. When I called him out on it he said “well by the looks of your watch 10 bucks won’t kill you” it wasn’t about the money of course but that’s the kinds stuff I wanted to avoid. That was the only instance of anyone calling out the watch and he only did it because it gave him a chance to dodge me pulling his covers but in the end he pissed me off more and regretted/apologized.
I know some doubt the legitimacy of my tale of ordering this watch but as I stated in WRUW when I was in the ICU last year I had some serious painful surgeries and was so doped up my wife came to visit me one night asking why I ordered 5 toasters. Apparently I was thinking of our broken toaster while in the hospital bed, decided it was as good a time as any to replace it but got 5 of them. I have absolutely no recollection of doing so.
Anyway the titanium watch feels kinda nice and light, I’m more of a bracelet dude but the rubber strap with the depoyant is something different and also has a nice feel. I’d like to get a bracelet for it but the stock one seems to be around 1,300 for that I’d rather get another watch.
I also think if I got the 39.5 I’d be knocking more door frames as the PO has some girth but I kinda like chunky watches. I really like the hands on this PO. Time keeping has been impeccable. Sorry I started writting this a week or so ago and forgot to post it so I added to it making it TLDR but wanted to give a hats off to omega for the watch.
