Folks, its been almost a year since the real hysteria began and many of you have heard zilch from ADs and OBs. Frankly, isn't it time to move on, there are many recent Speedmaster LEs that are more compelling, and better looking, imo. Too many are still seduced by the financial idea that money will be made on the watch. The Snoopy is a nice watch, but I don't think it's a great watch. Being on an indeterminate, rambling waitlist for years isn't a very pleasant situation to put yourself in. Just my opinion, I have no skin in the game, just observing from the sidelines. But why make yourself miserable and frustrated?

yes! I second this big time!
All of you waiting on the official list should take back your deposits, it’s about time.
Snoopy isn’t that great after all.
Do it.
Do it.

(hey if this works maybe I’ll get my Snoopy by Xmass)

I have just received mine and I can confirm that the watch is stunning and the dial in particular is beautiful. Just to encourage those who are waiting: this speedmaster is really worth the wait!

Hope springs eternal for those hoping that Omega will do a mass Snoopy drop today.

I have no hope for a surprise delivery.
I got the notification for next year, and with the rate they are delivering I think that is realistic.
To get an allocation sooner some of the clients in front of me would need to take back their deposits.
But I don't think any client is dropping out from the list at this point!

If you are still in line passed one year, you are definitely interested in getting the piece and you are already too committed.
The money for the deposit are spent. The watch is pretty cool. The premium is hefty (for the clients that care about value retention).
Abandoning the position now would be just crazy.

So... I'm very skeptical about early delivery or mass delivery...

Let me remind us interview with Raynald Aeschlimann where was the new Snoopy discussed:
“Every year we will make the number of watches that we are capable of. I’m sure that there will be a surplus of demand, but we will make more each year, and eventually, the people who dream to own the watch can make this a reality.

I think this is very important, because otherwise, with limited editions, sometimes people get upset because they feel left out. We are Omega, we don’t like to exclude people as some others do. We want those who dream about it to be able to get it eventually.”

Does it really mean all of us who has signed up at OB will get the watch, eventually? Even those to whom GoldSmith UK started to return the deposit they paid earlier?

Has anyone had a snoopy from an AD like Goldsmiths or OB only so far?

Even some US OB's have returned or have started to return deposits for US customers. It sounds like, at at least this one large OB, this has already been done so anyone who hasn't already been contacted is safe (for now). I am not sure if this applies to other US OBs or only certain oversubscribed OB's. It is scary to hear nonetheless.

I contacted my OB to see if there was any news on my prepaid Snoopy order. I was told a while back I would not get a watch this year, but I am hoping for 2022. The OB manager told me she does not have any information from HQ regarding 2022 deliveries. If i don't make the 2022 cut I might move on if something else strikes my fancy.

Hi All,

Just been told mine is on the way. Bit of a strange story. I have bought my last 3 Omega’s from the same OB in London and at some point I must have called them (I think. See below) and expressed an interest in the snoopy. I thought nothing more about it until just over three weeks ago when I got a call to say I was on the waiting list and they had one for me. It was a weird day with a lot of family stuff going on and I was very distracted so I said thanks but I was no longer interested.

Anyway sort of half regretted that but of course no point thinking about it too long cause the opportunity had passed. Then yesterday I received another call from the OB saying my they had a snoopy for me if I wanted it. This time I said yes and delivery is Friday.

It is entirely possible that the first call three weeks ago was a different OB, I wasn’t paying attention at all. Anyway will post photos when it arrives.

Josh

^^^ You do realize that your experience is freaking out and depressing all the people that live day to day hoping to hear a kernel of good news from their dealer. Anyway, glad that you finally decided to get the watch on the second offer.

I think it is safe to assume at this point that if you haven't gotten a call from your OB regarding a deposit return, you are fine. It seems that the deposits were returned early this year, either in Q1 or Q2. Also, I have been following this forum and few others and I haven't seen a US customer complain that their full deposit was returned. Further, at this point, it is a year now since people, including me, placed a full deposit with a US OB. I don't believe that Omega will pull a stunt now or in future and return deposits after 1-15.years. It will be a big scandal for the brand. Whatever culling they had to do at the US boutique level, and a lot of it may be exaggeration by US boutique manages/sales staff as no evidence of it exists on forums, the exercise has already been completed earlier this year. I have no purchase history with Omega boutiques and I am mentally ready for 2023. Anything happening by end of 2022 will be a bonus.
