Its been 7 month since my local OB put my name into the "sO-cALlEd-WaiTiNgLisT".
Not even a single call, email or anything.
Just a random Whatsapp Message from the sales person OB asking if i had a previous purchase record around 1 month ago.
I am quite shocked since i do remembered that my name was already on the list, then why did that guy asked me if i had a purchase record.
Then, i decided to visit the Boutique. I am living in Jakarta, Indonesia. We just finished our second wave of COVID resurgence.
So, it takes some guts to went there. Anyway, met the store manager, and how suprised i am when she told me that its been almost a year and not even a single piece of silver snoopy ever received. the list now has been categorized up to 4 groups, where 1 group consist of around 100 names.
They stopped writing names for now because it gets longer and longer and out of control.
Crazy how a developed country like mine does not have a single piece of allocation (considering if what the store manager told me is truth).

Personally, my interest in this watch is also declining overtime. Its not that i dont want it, but the scarcity makes me feel desperate.
What about you guys? still excited?

They put you on the list in February 2021? I believe there is some miscommunication with your OB.
Maybe your OB should clarify what list they are talking about.
Official lists were opened in 2020.
If they put you on 7 months ago you might be on a list of “interest” not on the real waiting list.

I understand your frustration. As I mentioned few pages back I feel desperate as well. In the Czech Republic, EU country, one delivered piece which kept owner of Omega import company for himself, which means zero pieces for ordinary customers. It drives me nuts but I hope one day I get the watch (on the waiting list since 7/2019).

In UK; got on the ‘non-deposit’ waiting list with my OB in September 2020. I emailed them for an update (any update!) two weeks ago and they can’t even be bothered to respond to me. I also went there in person at the start of the summer for a rain-check and they didn’t seem very happy to see me then either.

Jeez!! They have morphed into Rolex, haven’t they!? 🤔

Oh yeah they did. And they are happy with that. I still got strange feeling that deliveries are not that bad as OBs tell us. Hope I’m wrong but selling one or two Snoopies for a C24 prices could be too irresistible for some of OBs. And as OB are not managed and owned by Swatch Group, they can hardly do something about it. Therefore I’d love to see stat of how many Snoopies were delivered to which country. I’m pretty sure at least in some cases OF members would be really surprised…

OBs are not owned by Swatch? What?

The allocation is decided directly from Omega HQ. Then it goes to the OB and the OB delivers to the customer.

I'm not sure what you are implying. There is nothing shady in this model.
It's possible that some clients (including some professional flippers) got the allocation and flipped the watch for a profit, but the vast majority are not doing that.
The OBs selling Snoopies at C24 prices doesn't make much sense to me.

In the US, I think all OB's are owned by Swatch. That's not the case in Europe where the OB's might be JV's.

Got it.
But still, what's the point? OBs are selling at C24 prices? To whom?
I don't understand the gist of the post. Is there a speculation that OB associates are placing references under the table for a premium?
Really I don't get this.

No, OBs here are run by local company, not even JV. They just got signed strict agreement with Swatch Group but sales persons are employees of loca company. There is nothing like Omega HQ decides who will get the watch in Czech Republic whatsoever. This is not a Patek Philippe model. At least here in EU. And that’s where I see the potential problem - there is just one company (obviously) which does the official import of Omega watches to our country and then watches are distributed to OBs and ADs. As I said OBs are not Swatch Group related whatsoever. I just don’t believe that in almost a year one watch wasn’t sent to our country to be delivered to end-customer. That’s why I’m implying there could be “below the cash-desk” procedure where people at OBs could one or two Snoopies sell outside the system and just report that this or this guy from the infinite waiting list got the watch. In the meantime they could flip it for a double @C24.

Do you think it’s a wild theory? It might be but the reason I’m having such crazy thoughts is simple - not a single fu£{%$|!~^g information from the OB since the watch release date (my collection incl. 36 Speedmasters plus many other Omega models) . 11 months of waiting, no email, no call, nothing. I had to literally chase them twice in the last 6 months just to reassure myself that they still count on me. Even getting this info from them was pain in the ass. This is the worst customer experience I ever had at any watch dealer ship/boutiques ever. And still can’t believe Omega would ignore our country that much.

But maybe I’m totally wrong and Omega just send all the Snoopies to UK, GER, US, SUI. I would be rather more happy getting same info from my OB I get from local PP Boutique - you might get this SS Nautilus but you will be waiting 6-7 years at least and to be honest no one knows if this model will be still in production.

I’m happy I switched my focus to vintage watches only but I can’t ignore new Snoopy because my collection covers Speedies from the 60’s to this day. Missing the new Snoopy is not a move I’m ready to make. Yet.

I don’t know man. I have way less history than you do, and I should get mine sometime next year.
You got 36 speedies from the OB… (wow!) I bet you will get your Snoopy.
I don’t think they need to smuggle watches under the table, or at least they shouldn’t do that with an excellent client like you.
I guess stay calm and be patient is the only way at this point.

Btw 36!! Man, congratulations!

That’s what I said, I believe I get it one day but the lack of info and communication is just terrible.

And no I didn’t buy 36 Speedies at my OB, I bought some of them here, some on C24, some from other watch aficionados here in CZ. Many of the watches in my collection are older than me so technically I couldn’t even buy it new at OB 😀

Got to admit I'm a little shocked at the delay. Afaik I'm well placed if not first on the list at the place I buy.

Usually with other brands, regardless of the new release, it turns up within weeks to about 8 months.

This snoopy is a definite exception. 1+ year for delivery when you got in at the start. Surprising.

Perhaps it provides those still waiting some degree of comfort to know that a Speedmaster usually isn’t life saving. If that’s not enough; after a good year on the list, I did take delivery of mine earlier this month. They are out there…😉

Those that want a Snoopy are at the mercy of the Omega distribution scheme, whatever it may be. You'll just have to hang in there and hope their promise that if you are on the 'official list' you'll get a watch, eventually, someday. But it is continually surprising to me that Omega can sometimes get the watches out on schedule (Apollo 11 50th) and then they can completely fumble it with this latest LE. How they can swing from competence to incompetence in a year continues to be a mystery. And the Covid excuse just doesn't cut it.

Today, a friend was told at the only one Spanish OB that they only have delivered 20 pieces at this moment.

The new Chronoscope is a beauty, but continuing to feel disappointed that new Speedmaster models are getting introduced (in-stock and ready to ship on announcement date, no less), but we are over a year in that some of us have pre-paid and could be looking at another year for delivery.

Yep. It's pretty ridiculous. I'm not buying another Omega product until I get my Snoopy 3 and if if I never get my Snoopy 3 I will still hold the same thoughts...

Think I’ve given up hope now, no deposit mind you (UK).

On OB list, but I reached out for an update and they admitted they haven’t received any yet, seems my OB isn’t one owned by Omega, so maybe time to move on…

Come on man, Omega just don't care since there's so many people waiting. We're nobody if not a SVIP.

Exactly the same for me but at least they replied to you!🤔
