And not begrudging anyone for getting one, thought about picking one up a few times. Then looking at the price, the Snoopy became a "maybe some day down the line" watch. After I take an Alaskan cruise and travel to Europe next year and prices/availabilty will probably be the same.

When I picked up Ck2998-5, knew would never see another example like it. When I look at the Snoopy, there are plenty around. They turned it from a "need to get it now or it's gone "
to take your pick of which year/price you want."

Eternal limited production (can guess the manufacturing year depending on the faded Snoopy).

Honestly the Snoopy should've been made a limited edition like the last couple, capped at a set number as the last two editions were. But Omega omega'ed and mass produced them instead (yes they tried to say they're scare but go on Chrono24,, there are around 100 for sale in the US alone)

It is a cash cow because everyone wants a Snoopy, but they flooded the market. Sure you can wait for the Boutique to offer you one at retail maybe, but plenty available now.
You said it right ! Omega tried to play the Rolex game by making the allocation process difficult and by requiring a prior purcahse history however, they missed one important thing in the playbook, always protect the product by ensuring Exclusivity and High demand e.g. Pepsi, Hulk, SS Daytona.

I was one of those with flawed Snoopy dials, I got 8t changed but it was widespread problem not sure if 2026 continue to suffer from this issue

The only Snoopy on my "Grail" list is the "Failure is not an option " version which is now unobtanium priced. Seriously, I'm quite happy with my plain white face Speedy. I far prefer the display back over the animated cartoon. I will admit to a lean to the Ed White, ive had one on my wrist and it's truly stunning.

I wouldn’t turn my nose up to get a Snoopy 50th under the right conditions (e.g., favorable price), but I feel it would ultimately be a place holder watch as part of a savings plan I could concoct to some day get a Snoopy 45th. Not necessarily an end game piece in my collection.

I do think it would be fun to show my kids the back of the watch so they can see that daddy’s obsession with watches isn’t all boring.
