Good to know. In the U.S., with the exception of some members of Congress, our sharks stay in the ocean. However, we do have a few of these wandering around outdoors and they can get a little cranky:

No no no, that's just so wrong on so many levels.
Kind of comes under the category of just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
That post sadly will get no likes from me.

Red backs aren’t that bad….killer headache for about 6 hours with a wicked dose of nauseous undertones. Got bitten on the upper arm many years ago.
Not a pain I would forget but 24 hours later was all good.

Roos can be dangerous for sure. The central claw on their hind leg can tear your leg open.

Portuguese man of war……Meh…. They are what we call Blue bottles and throw at each other as kids…

Are blue bottle jellyfish poisonous?

The bluebottle uses its tentacles to catch, sting, and kill its prey. The venom it uses is a mix of phenols and proteins that are deadly to their prey, but not to humans. Immediately after you get stung by a bluebottle, you will feel an intense jolt of pain.

And these little buggers are just as bad as the Box jellies...and you can barely see them in the water.

Robert Drewe describes the sting as "100 times as potent as that of a cobra and 1,000 times stronger than a tarantula's"

😲 Remind me not to swim in the ocean should I ever visit Australia...

Thankfully when I visited about 25 years ago the most menacing things were wallabies frolicking on the beach, an emu trying to take over the road, a sea turtle and a leopard shark. It was a warm-and-fuzzy experience.

Seems the country has gone to poop since then! 😁
