So, the search for my 167.005 goes on…

I wanted though to ask about this. I’ve not seen these markers and hands without any lume or black paint/onyx inlays before. This looks a decent example of one with a date, and it’s a good price (1100 GBP). It’s on Chrono24 and from Japan. Even has an original service glass with cyclops lens (can make out the Omega symbol). Nice sharp case too.

And yes, I need to charge my phone, lol.

The photos are washed out so it is hard to judge this watch. The yellow case back seal makes me suspect the watch needs a service, though.

If you're in UK, you will pay about 22% on top of the price you've shown when the watch lands here so, it's a significant increase and worth bearing in mind.

Good luck, Chris

Oh, I’m not interested in buying this. It was more just to potentially learn something about dial styles in order to help my search for one without a date.

As Chris said, hard to judge the condition with those pictures, but my gut says the case isn't actually that nice. It's definitely seen polishing, which softened the edges just slightly, and has seen quite some life after that. There are certainly many worse examples out there, no doubt. But I wouldn't call it "good".

Fair enough; in any case, I guess the price reflects that, especially considering it’s also coming from a dealer.

Just be patient. You raced to 200 posts and made your WTB, but finding a good watch doesn't always happen overnight unless you're willing to throw a lot of money into the mix. If you're really so desperate, then pony up a few grand and buy one. Otherwise, you don't need to continually repeat your desire to the forum. Even though these are not rare watches, all things considered, you would do well to settle down a bit, and give yourself at least a few months.
Great advice.
