I’ve read on here that they exist, but I’ve never seen one before. It showed up yesterday and as of this morning auction has ended - I assume an outside eBay deal. Is it real? Anyone manage to snag it? Any other examples out there? https://m.ebay.com/itm/Omega-conste...rdt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2349624.m43663.l10137Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Those aren't dog legs as much as chicken legs, theyrth so thin. I'm also not certain about the date window
Give this one a try (updated above as well). https://m.ebay.com/itm/Omega-conste...rdt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2349624.m43663.l10137Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Listing still shows as ended. Best practice is to just post the pictures since eBay doesn't keep auction links static anymore
The lugs are much slimmer on the solid gold versions; I guess to keep the gold content to a minimum. Although a little polished the case does look genuine IMO. The dial has been redone and probably wasn’t black originally.
They cut and grind the facets to make them sharp again and when doing so, lots of material are gone and the lugs become skinny.
I’ve had unpolished steel and solid gold dog legs an I didn’t notice a difference between the thickness of the lugs. Thenagain, there are differences between case makers. I’ve noticed different angles on the bevels on the lugs and bezels between case makers, perhaps there’s also a difference between the lugs.
Case looks OK to me. Just polished heavily. However, the dial is not original. My guess is that the buyer negotiated a price outside of eBay. The buyer should spend a fraction of the price on a steel version with a nice dial and do a swap. They'll get most of the price of the steel watch back on a second sale, and the white gold one will be worth far more with an original dial. Check back in a couple of months. gatorcpa
Looks like it sold for 2300 Euro in a separate listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-cons...vip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I think 2300 euros is still a pretty good price even it's a redial, given how rare to find a white gold 168.006. I bet we might not see another one that easily or even in our lifetime!
