Just picked this up from Norman (@X350 XJR) and I’m in love. I had always wanted a black dialed Seamaster, got a deville, but never bonded with it...it was too dressy, to sleek, and it was a redial. This SMC is spot on for what I wanted (slightly more tool than the normal SM of this era) and the sunburst slate dial is insane.
I had the bracelet already from another watch to which it was mismatched. It has sat in my parts bin for a while and they are a perfect mate-even the squared off lug profiles match up.
I have only seen this bracelet in catalogs matched to the round case Connie from c’68-70, and have seen it on a Seamaster chrono of this era, so it makes sense it would work on this case and be period correct.
Moral of the story- keep your bracelets even if they don’t match the watch it came on...you never know what will pop up.

Looks fantastic! Wear the hell out of it.
Thanks. It’s not a safe queen, it’s got it’s bumps and bruises (like me) but not abused (unlike me), which is why I was attracted to it-it will be in regular rotation.

Good choice. I was admiring that in the For Sale thread for a while.

I couldn’t help myself. I had a black dialed Deville and it was too dressy, this filled that void really well and is just casual enough to fit my style. Plus I already had the bracelet and knew it was a match so it was like kismet

Slap on a silver seamaster with a sunburst dial and they will see you from space!😎
