New Speedy Pro Moon - misalignment etc

Just received my new Speedy Moon watch with manual wind, and noticed the chrono second hand is misaligned (see first pic). After playing with chrono today some, it's now resetting even further off of 12. This is clearly defective yes? I'm afraid if I get it realigned, it'll just progressively shift off center again - as it gets worse and worse as time goes on.

I've purchased from Chrono24 and watch came with stamped warranty card/pictogram etc, so I should be covered. Seller also offered to pay for overnight to and from his watch guy (who's Omega certified/parts account etc) and said he could get it fixed a bit quicker than Omega service center.

Anyone experienced this in the past? My Planet Ocean 8500 I had previously was near flawless, so I'm quite disappointed in my new Speedy.

Also, lesson learned. I peeled plastic off and resized the watch prior to putting the chrono through its paces, what a bone head move. I could've had a replacement sent off instead of being stuck getting this one repaired. Damn.

Anyway, take a look at photos and give me your opinion on what you'd do in my position!

Edit - Second photo shows where it's currently resetting, so progressively worse than the first photo from this morning. Bummer!

Looks like the chrono hand somehow got loose on the post, and the progressive worsening is due to it slipping to a further forward resting position after each reset. If that's the case, it's really easy to fix and should be covered under any scrupulous sales agreement if it was described as functioning properly.

I'd send it to Omega. The seller's watchmaker may be certified and all, but this is a warranty issue and should be handled by Omega.

Seller offered to send me the other new one he has on hand - so it'll be resolved in a timely manner, awfully kind of them as I'd already sized the darn thing and pulled the stickers, lesson learned. Lovely watch and looking forward to getting a functional one back!

It could be the hand is loose or the mechanism which resets the hand is not functioning correctly. The hand is reset by a lever acting against the cam on the opposite side from the center hand. When the chrono is reset the lever hits the cam turning it until the flat side of the cam lines up with the flat side of the lever.
But since you are getting a replacement thats the best outcome
