No, my AD is just taking names on a list, they have never taken deposits before delivery is certain. They are only taking the names of existing customers and are not that confident of getting very many allocated.
That's not true... Might have something to do with taking a £7000 deposit on a trilogy box set and guaranteeing it, to only have to take a large bight of humble pie when they couldn't deliver![]()

My local OB offered to put me on a list. Their employee also mentioned they didn't receive any information about the allocation process. But I'm not sure if being on the list is really worth anything 😗
OBs taking $5,000 deposits to insure that you will get some unannounced product could be a dangerous game for them. We don't know what will be introduced, the number, price or anything else. Taking $5,000 as a deposit, even if refundable, could be a mess if production isn't enough to satisfy demand.

This whole caper depends on how many fools, eh I mean collectors, will pony up silly amounts for said watch. Unknown at this time.
