Also he mentioned an updated movement, but is that really the 321?

Not likely.
There has been mention of a variation of the 1861 movement.
Possibly something designated the 3861 or something along those lines with improved anti-magnetic properties over the 1861.

Do these people get a receipt for this deposit? What would it say on it as it has to be ran through their til system. "$5k deposit for possible moon watch" lol??
Exactly, just says 5k deposit. That’s it!

I heard the same. There will be an even in Zurich on or around March 19th, one of my contact at an OB told me so he/we will know more after that.
Yes I concur, I hear 18th or 19th to get details.

Yeah - the guy said updated movement (which to means sounds like a variation of 1861) versus the ORIGINAL movement.

OK, Omega has just given a "shadow" on Instagram of what gonna be either the Apollo 11 50th anniversary Speedy or the 321 new Speedy.
Short pushers and what looks like a solid yellow gold case. I also see a possible solid yellow gold flat links bracelet...

Write-up on Fratello too. Like it, except for the price. 🙁

Man, it's Gold! A simple smaller Women's Cartier Tank in Full gold with Leather Bracelt already costs 10k Euro! 😀

I meant it's beyond my budget. It is probably reasonably priced for what it is, if only I could find my money tree!

I was contacted by a local OB soliciting a deposit for a 50th anniversary piece (no details) before today's announcement, and when I asked how much of a deposit would be required, this is what I was told: "Since there's really no information on how much the timepiece will be, we are securing a minimum of $3,000.00 deposit right now. We are anticipating the price to be between $6,500 and $8,500 you're more than welcome to place a higher deposit to have a better chance in receiving one since we also do not know how many pieces will be allocated to the United States."

You really have to hand it to them for the cynical honesty of telling me that the more of my money I give them, the higher up the wait list I'll go. Sheesh.

By contrast, when I reached out to a different OB I buy a lot of watches from, I was told to hold off, they weren't taking deposits yet, and when they learned more and did take deposits, it'd be 20%. We'll see if that approach changes as more models are announced, but I'm hopeful.
