A watch from OP is rumored as the Swiss Army model, so not sure would we be able to buy it.

Have heard the same on another forum.
Omega are becoming like Rolex. More limited runs and waits.

??? Not sure do I understand.
2254.50, PO 8500 already have had the runs dedicated for UK SAS or New Zealand (or Australia?) armies, I think such watches do not qualify as "limited".

Wasn't in reference to just this.

Ed White 321, Snoopy 50, Nekton Edition.... More controlled runs, not necessary limited. Have the same feeling about this one, it might get released to public but perhaps the same way. Who really knows?

You can still get all of those watches as long as you wait a little bit. For Rolex, there's no guarantee that you'd be able to get them at all, and you would definitely have to buy a few Datejusts just to have a chance. Omega right now is doing a solid job of making a watch for everyone who wants one, but not "overproducing," as so many have criticized it for in the past.

Well if this isn't for sale then this makes my decision easier. I was going to get this over a new Speedmaster but will probably pickup the 3861 Speedmaster along with the Snoopy sometime next year or 2022.

Maybe they meant Swiss army watch, like it’s really versatile, and not government issued. We didn’t see the other side, it could have a can opener, toothpick, telescopic pen etc

Does the 88xx based movement mean it doesn’t have the jumping hour hand?
That's correct. Time-only, no 'Travel Time' function.

Would be perfect with the sword hands like the 2254.
Might consider shifting my 2254.50 for one of these, lovely 👍
Wonder what the thickness of it is.

It looks stunning and I would love to add it to my collection. That said, I also heard about the "Swiss Army / Not for sale" thing... I like that it almost looks like a mix of the regular model and the "NTTD" diver - in a good way. Btw: Does anybody know how to sign up for the Swiss Army? Do they need a solid desk warrior? I am asking for a friend... ; )

The thickness of the 007 Titanium on Nato model is 13.15mm so most likely the same.

So is the "Swiss Army / Not for sale" thing real or rumor?

This unannounced / yet to be announced piece we've happened to come across appears to have been partially added globally?

I have asked my boutique and they confirmed it. You could get it if you are a member of the Army unit it has been built for.

Limited production of 50 watches total...this will be a tough one to get unless you have a relative in the Swiss army willing to do you a solid.

Shame, after my terrible experience with the NTTD I've still more or less decided I'd like a "standard" 300M and this would have been the variant I'd have paid full boutique retail for. Oh well, guess Omega won't be getting my money after all - I'm really not very enthusiastic about the Rolex-like moves they're making lately, taking one step forward towards what the hardcore customers want (no date) and one step back (ugly Nekton bezel; only 50 of these). Definitely not buying a regular black dial 300M at full price.

That Breitling Superocean Outerknown is still calling my name though....

Personally I think there is great variation in the current Seamaster collection, from the regular models to the black ceramic one, etc. I would have suggested you the "Nekton" before I saw you don't like the bezel. I also like no-date and when it comes to divers, the Seamaster 300 would probably be my choice. Anyway, it is a very personal decision in the end. Good luck with your search, too many nice watches out there ; )

I think the 300MC (the vintage-look model) is all right, but I'm meaning to buy another Trilogy after mine was stolen last year. That was such a lovely watch.

I feel like the 300M is a fun, modern sporty watch which for me would bring some diversity to my mostly vintage and vintage-inspired collection, but I would highly prefer a no-date model.

As for the Nekton, I've met it in person, and the dial is wonderful - you can find my thoughts on it in the Nekton thread.

If we got 50 people, maybe they could make the omega forum version. Caseback with an engraved router or wifi symbol
