If we got 50 people, maybe they could make the omega forum version. Caseback with an engraved router or wifi symbol

Forum LEs have been done before (number of Timezone pieces or Panerai forum LEs and such), but not on OF. Consensus thus far has been that it's not a great idea, but then if Omega are doing 50pc LEs maybe we could reprise the idea. I'd be interested in a no-date 300M Forum version for sure.

With all the Speedmaster fans on the forum I doubt it ll be a Seamaster. The squirrel had a name for the Speedy enthusiasts, speedmastersomething::stirthepot::.

Each piece with the individuals username engraved on the caseback... just stirring a bit more 😗

For those of us who tried to add the watch to the "My Watches" section on our personal Omega account, it looks like Omega caught on ... it's gone now.

It's unfortunate... the first one in what seems like a real long while where I would have paid full retail at the OB without hesitation, not even knowing the price. I'm hoping they took notice of all the interest (my OB stated they received several inquiries at just their location... can only imagine the rest) and will make something similar available to the rest of us. Maybe change the case back or something - do the military specific ones typically have a special caseback? The general public could have a display caseback.

This one went to the top of my list the moment I saw it. In a sense I'm glad it won't be available - it will save me a chunk of money!

I think they just need to take this model, give it the standard caseback and 165.024-style sword hands, and people would be just as satisfied, if not more.

I know folks keep insisting on it, but Omega are moving forward. Sword hands aren't coming back. Maybe for a Heritage edition of somekind but not the SMP Diver.

That's an idea. Has Omega done this type of thing before?

Yes. They’ve done it twice with the Speedmaster. We know it as the ST1 Tribute to Alaska 3 and ST2 Ultraman.

Yep 🤦

If you're really paying attention, the SMP 300M actually does have sword hands (if a modernized version thereof).

The Planet Ocean lineup was also introduced to recapture some of the style of the 165.024 line.

I know what you mean but generally when we refer to sword hands we are speaking of solid ones and the skeleton. Hence my comment.

The Nekton with a black bezel, slim profile from the NTTD and a hippocampus on the back would be a very solid iteration.

Damn, this sucks, it’s a great looking watch. I much prefer it to the regular release.

I'm hoping Bienne are making notes from the comments in this thread... or are planning too!

Simply add a few more into the SM Diver 300M collection, all no-date starting with something very similar to this one, all based on the 8806 calibre, off the shelf either all brushed steel bracelet or nato to differentiate from the existing 8800.

Add another lost sale here. I would have gladly shelled out for full retail on this piece. The no date dial, all brushed case and bracelet, and matte ceramic bezel were major selling points for me.

Looks like I'll be getting that Pelagos LHD after all.....when I saw this initially, I was a solid yes. Sucks.
