Stunning piece in the metal.
I'll eventually write up a review after spending some more time with it, but as others have said, the dial is wonderfully dynamic in different lighting.
Also, there is guilloche in the subdial. It's so sheer that most will need a loupe to see it.
Interesting piece indeed, but also mixed feelings for me. Somehow it reminds me of pocket watches that were transformed into wristwatches back in 1940s'. Having said that it may grow on me 😁
I agree, it's a smidge too large and reminds me of the marriage watches you can find on fleabay. Still a great piece and I'm glad Omega continues to re-issue vintage pieces.
OK,
I have a vintage CK 859 from about 1937. It has a nice black guilt dial. My dealer just called and said my modern model is in. I have paid for it and it’s on the way to me from FL. Let you know but looks great modern interpretation of this amazing piece.

I am not sure if it works this way with the numbers. Case in point: I have seen 16xx at a dealer in Switzerland on the weekend. Personally I asked my OB if he could organize me 111, as this is sort of my lucky number, and they can but 'have non ETA at all'. So I think the production is random, however they of course know the size of the (first) batch they committed to.
Saw it today and it is a lovely watch. Very clean but interesting dial and a case that, for me, gets close to the AT's superb proportions. Not one I'd buy at he moment but definitely a striking and versatile watch, even in the harsh lighting of a boutique.
Also available in gold too!
On the Omega website they wrongly describe the watch as originally having the 30 cal movement, these only had the 26.5 movement I believe.
