I love the watch….looks gorgeous and would love to add one to my collection. Mach, thanks so much for posting so many pictures at different angles and in different lighting. Very helpful to me as I haven’t had the chance yet to see one in person!

My pleasure, sir! Here’s another photo:

For those that are curious, I’ve confirmed the lug-to-lug length is 46mm utilizing “modern” technology:

Saw it when I had the watch in hand.
That was a surprise to me. Then, someone on another forum posted that this was a numbered edition/limited edition of 2939 pieces:

I brought that up when I took delivery yesterday. The GM said that this was a typo and that we would be receiving new cards from Omega. But he stressed that it was not a LE piece.

Not in Switzerland, at least, where I saw it at ADs (they can order it).

But the point I wanted to make was that I really feel the strap making team at Omega need to wake up and get with what's going on, the 'vintage look' strap on this new 859 with the side stitching near the lugs is just so 2018 and neither period correct nor what is seen as an acceptable 'vintage look' in 2022

Totally agree on this. The two-stitch style got to go. From the looks of it the material is also similar to ST1's two-stitch, seems lifeless. They should revive vintage styles like this:

Oh no!
Embarrassing for me. Check the strap 😁
I’m living in 2018, it was a better time though at least 👍

Well I'll let you off this time Michael due to the watch it's attached to 😀

Good to know, I wonder they go on a discount for this. I am getting confused with how Omega releases numbered edition, limited run, limited edition and all.

It's actually quite simple:
- Omega has abandoned the concept of Limited Editions altogether
- They still do numbered editions (limited in terms of time in production, although not communicated how long, and consecutively numbered)
- They do limit supply for high-demand models (321, Snoopy) but they are not numbered

Discount: depends on the relationship with your AD, generally they can of course give discounts. OBs by policy not (in Switzerland).

Great, thanks to you I feel compelled to go shopping at my local OB--without money again! I wonder if my credit card is in my wallet...

Thanks for the insights. Well, I am guessing this numbered edition might stop at 9999 pieces.

It will not be easy for Omega to go upto 9999 with this watch in foreseeable future. It's no doubt a beautiful watch but will not be hot seller beyond our small watch collector's community IMHO. Regards

I remember seeing an Instagram post a few days back where the dude collected his CK859 numbered close to the 2000 range. Well, I would think it is even better for the collectors if the production is being halted at lower numbers.

I tried one on in London a couple of weeks ago, maybe I just don’t get Modern Omega, but it just wasn’t for me.

I remember someone posted a strap maker who makes vintage styled straps like this, but I didn't save the link. 😵‍💫
Does anyone know the company?

There are quite a few. I think Bulang and sons have some styles made by same company who supplied Omega back in the days:

Torrestraps on Instagram also look nice:

Accurate form also good.
