It didn’t feel thick on the wrist at all. Super comfortable (bear in mind I only wore it for a minute tops). A really nice vintage looking piece.

As I have posted on the other thread it is very slim and not too big either. I have small wrists and it felt and looked fine.

Credit to /u/judarosenthal on reddit/ Ingmar on Omegaforums. Seems like theres a new reissue coming of the CK859.

Word is retail will be $6,700. Any thoughts everyone? I think it looks fabulous. If you are a vintage omega fan like me, you will agree that most of Omega's best watches were their past releases from the 40's-late 60's. There are plenty of untapped beautiful references from this era that sorely need reissues!

That looks very nice and in a great size too at 39mm !

What does numbered edition mean vs limited ? Does that mean there’s no pre determined quantity that will be made?

I like this, will be interested to try it on. Could be a good compliment to my Divers/Speedys, I was tempted by the recent small seconds edition, but this looks even better.

Could be my Omega trio, Speedmaster Pro, Planet Ocean 42mm 8500 and this….

Here one from the novelties presentation:

It‘s a beauty. Not too thick at all, no „ultra thin“, but well-proportioned.

Should be available as of June I was told.

It's just like FOIS Speedmaster. Each watch will have an individual number but it'll not be limited. They may continue to produce for certain period irrespective of number of watches sold.

thanks. It's a beautiful watch. I would love to see it in person. So far I have not been impressed at all with the thickness of their Co-Ax movements, so that would be a question for me to see in person. Additionally, the price point is quite high for a time only. Aside from those two points, I love it.

This manual movement is quite slim as compared to automatic co=axial movement.
Price point is what it is..

I'm not such a fan of all these bulked up re-releases from Omega's back catalogue, to me they are just trying to hoover up some of the € floating around in the vintage market and from my observations the re-releases seem actually to make the original refs less rather than more desirable.

But the point I wanted to make was that I really feel the strap making team at Omega need to wake up and get with what's going on, the 'vintage look' strap on this new 859 with the side stitching near the lugs is just so 2018 and neither period correct nor what is seen as an acceptable 'vintage look' in 2022

Oh no!
Embarrassing for me. Check the strap 😁
I’m living in 2018, it was a better time though at least 👍

Although I received the call Tuesday that my CK 859 had arrived, I was on business travel and couldn’t take delivery from the OB until today:

The 11.7mm height includes the domed sapphire crystal:

The dial appears to be an off-white/grey color with hints of green:

But in nature lighting, it comes across as white:

Beautiful. Got mine on wednesday and I must say I spend a lot of time looking at the dial without noticing what time it is!

It looks great! Is there any distortion from the domed crystal, e.g., around the edges of the dial?

No, not at all.

Saw one in person. Dimensions were amazing, not thick at all. Fit well on my 6.5" wrist. In my opinion one of the best reissues theyve done.

This is a cool watch. I am thinking it will look great on the new Omega SS mesh bracelet (the one similar to the NTTD bracelet).
