Bit late in replying to your post, but I think this has to be the coolest thing I've read and seen here since joining the OF a few years ago.
Thanks so much for sharing! 👎

Also very late to this party but I wholeheartedly agree! I remember my dad taking me to see Moonraker at the cinema. Not quite the same as the Premiere experience, but it was still special! The Heuer looks great, BTW 😀

Just picked up one of these myself, big fan of Roger Moore. If you do a search for photos of when he was announced as James Bond in August 1972, there is a b/w photo where he's got a cigar in his hand and you can see his watch - pretty sure it's the Tissot PR516, which adds credence to the Tissot being his personal watch...

Great tread! I wish I could have met some Bond girls😀.

Nice to see so many fellow Roger Moore fans, He is THE definitive James Bond.

Here's mine - took me over 2 years of searching but in the end got it for a very fair price so overall very pleased.

Very nice, this is currently the watch I'm wearing most frequently at the moment - followed by the Tissot 1640 F1

Apologies for resurrecting this, I’m after a bracelet for this, does anyone have any info on what I should be looking for? There’s tonnes of fake Tissot bracelets everywhere

The Bracelet used in a whole range of watches - PR516, Visodate, Seastar etc, is the Tissot 608.
The (unmarked) end links are 19mm.

I've been chasing these bracelets for a few years now 😀

A 608 came up on eBay US recently - https://www.ebay.com/itm/256653298239 -

... and sold for $60 but with no end links. Chances of finding the correct end links without buying a whole bracelet or even a donor watch are pretty much nil, so this kind of thing would only really be useful for spares.

Thanks for the quick response! The hunt begins!!!! Though if you’ve been trying for a few years I imagine this will be a frustrating endeavour to add to the list of ‘parts I’ll probably never find’ 😀

Yep. Best bet is to look for a beaten-up Tissot watch that happens to come with the bracelet you want... but then you have the problem of what to do with that one...

@ewand can you help me out with identifying my bracelet? Looks a lot like the 608 but more flat..

I noticed not all bracelets fit on the watch, the way they are on the photos together is the only way. The oyster style doesn't fit the Bond watch because the case of the Bond watch is thicker, due the automatic movement.

Dunno, certainly the end links are not the same. What does the inner clasp blade say?

The 608 shows up on other watches too - the manual wind Seastar 40508s use the same bracelet and though the case is thinner, I think the end links might just be bent to fit.

Here's the size difference of PR516 chrono (40528) on the left vs 40508 on the right

[40508 has a Tissot 873 aka Lemania 1873, akin to Omega 861... whereas the 40508 has a Tissot 870 aka Lemania 1277, which has a certain familial resemblance to Omega's 32x ...

I am trying to work out what the end link numbers should be, here is mine, both ends links are different though I guess the one stamped 626 is most likely the correct one and the 526 is not.
Given the Tissot Omega tie-up on these I am guessing these end link numbers are the same numbers for both T and O.

I will probably raid my WM's stash of old bracelets to see if he has the correct ones and or spare strap. I don't think these are all that uncommon.

This topic is good fun, finding time correct bracelets is also one of my hobbies. Tbh, that oyster style bracelet on the PR516 no date is one hell of a bracelet, so smooth and good fitting.

Also, is it possible that de Tissot 608 bracelet is also available as an Omega one? I believed they swapped bracet (and movements and stuff) between brands at that time.
