New obsession needed

I have several (obsessions, that is) already but I'd like to add a moonphase to obsess over. There doesn't seem to be an "original" moonphase, the way there is with "the original dive watch" or other firsts. Which OBTAINABLE (i.e. no more than $10-15k) moonphase should I put in my 'wanted' list?

The Longines Master Collection or JLC Master Calendar is kind of what I have in mind

Have you looked at these? I quite like B&M...

What about a vintage JLC triple calendar moonphase? I just picked this up recently and am in love with it. The quality of finishing is simply sublime and the teardrop lugs are drool-worthy.

Does anyone really need “the moon phase stuff”. Harvesting? Rituals? You can’t look up?
Why yes. Yes I do......

Blancpain was mostly responsible for restarting the moonphase complication back in the early 80's, they have quite a few triple date moonphase models, and they are always a good value on the secondary market.

Pretty, but too busy

Agreed. Clean & simple (for a triple complication 😁 )

That is very nice. I have been spending a bit of time learning about vintage UG tri-compaxes, so I need to study up on these too.
