New Aqua Terra 38mm (8800) rotor noise, advice needed

Just received Aqua Terra 38mm with 8800 movement. It’s a new watch and it makes quite a bit of noise when rotor moves faster from side to side. Could someone with more recent Aqua Terras with this movement compare whether this sounds normal.

This model should have steel ball bearings on rotor as it has been made after 2024. Noise is not as loud as in video as camera was pretty up close.

Other than this it’s absolutely beautiful watch.

Video link below. Thanks for help.

I bought mine new from an OB in April of 2025. Mine makes the same sound when I swirl it around. I have never noticed it on wrist. I replicated the sound only after watching your video. So I must say it doesn't bother me. I don't walk around swirling my wrist.

My Nttd sounds loud when i swirl it like that. On the wrist with regular movement, i never hear a sound. Enjoy your watch.

Could you please not move your wrist, it scares away all the helicopters.

How close to your ear do it need to be to be this loud?

A little rotor noise can be normal with the 8800, especially when it’s moving quickly.

Normal. Ceramic bearings make this noise.

You sacrifice the low sound for less wear. A rotor is an expensive movement component, so not the worst deal.
