·Have just had an update from my father in law regarding the original owner of this watch. Apologies, he wasnt a spitfire pilot - he was however a Lancaster Bomber airgunner in the RAF 61 squadron. The remaining info about POW camps & subsequent escapes is correct. Most certainly the Breitling Museum aspect.
Obviously, this watch wasnt even in existence at that point, but merely gives a little more detail on the background of the original owner.
