路Hi everybody!
Been lurking the forum for a long time and have been a non active forum member since a few years. Thought it was about time for introduction.
I have been a mechanical watch enthusiast since my first Longines Master Chrono in 2009. I treated myself to it when i stopped smoking and will never sell it 馃榾.
My hobby has escalated under COVID and have been buying/selling a bit over the last few years but buying more than i鈥檝e been selling. I鈥檓 sure this sounds familiar to many on this forum.
Have regretted most of my sales (except a Don Draper SM redial that i bought and sold within a week just for financing a Sinn 356) but regretted none of my purchases so far.
My main affection is with Omega. I like that you can wear a true part of horological history, the mechanical prowess of the brand and the fact you can wear a high quality piece but still not feel like you鈥檙e trying to show off in a crowd.
Currently i have 2 vintage Omega鈥檚. Favorite period is early 60鈥檚. daily wearer is an Aqua Terra. Also a fan of vintage Russians as they have great history, and are fun and attainable. Most fun is to find a vintage but as pristine as possible. Found a Kirovskie Crab some time ago from the 50鈥檚 for a great price that still looks like it could have been cut yesterday. Will never sell that one.
Anyway, thanks for hearing me out and greetings from the Netherlands
attached my current collection, with special mention of course of the Omega鈥檚
