Welcome. I’m up the A34 in Newbury. BB58 coming next week so I’ll be sure to post a shot. Having tried it on its night and day to the other tudors I’ve owned. Very thin and just like an old sub.
London calling... Nice to meet you. I have an affinity with your part of the world. I spend almost all my childhood holidays with my grandparents who lived in Bournemouth (retired from Glasgow). It was my grandfather’s Omega that got me interested in all this mullarky. Not a particularly interesting one - but I lost it and the insurance paid out nicely enough for me to replace it with something better and have some change left over which has so far funded a Connie and various other pieces. Don’t know whether to thank or curse his memory.
Hi to all the recent posters, sorry if it seems I haven't acknowledged your posts, hadn't realised that there had been any further activity! Finding myself on here more and more, and slowly finding more and more pieces I'd like to own... For those of you with ties to Bournemouth and Dorset, I know the areas quite well, lovely parts of the country, especially in the summer!
Two pages and no pictures yet, get on with it. And you posted a picture in the camera thread so we know you have a camera or two......
Apologies Standy, I will get on it for you! Yep, I do have a camera or two, sadly nothing capable of any decent macro shots
Apologies it’s been so long since I updated this thread, it’s been a busy one for be before all this COVID pandemic. I moved house, just a week before the lockdown came into force in the UK, and have only got myself settled, and more importantly sorted out the internet connection! So as promised, a couple of pictures for you all, nothing too fancy, just snaps from the phone and tweaked a bit, most of my camera gear is packed away still, along with my Seiko 6138... managed to find my CA-53W (as if anyone’s interested!) 1st up, on bracelet, I’ve been chopping and changing between straps with the decent weather 2nd up, on Admiralty Grey NATO from Phoenix straps 3rd, Black Eulit Palma perlon, I also have these in grey and brown (my avatar) and a matching set of Panamas which are great for this heat. Finally, CA-53W which might garner a bit of hate, but I bought it as I had the same watch as an 11 year old, and it was still dirt cheap Hopefully I will remember to update this when I dig out the Seiko Jumbo Chrono,
