Hi from Atlanta. I just discovered this forum on Friday, March 5, and have already learned so much.

I purchased my first Omega in May 1996 — an Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz Professional 2541.80.00, stainless steel full size case with, blue face and blue bezel on a stainless steel bracelet (the James Bond GoldenEye watch). In June 1999 I upgraded to the Seamaster 300M Automatic Professional Chronometer 1503.825 (below) and gifted the first one to my brother.

I love the Omegas and wore them religiously until 2002 when I splurged and purchased a new Rolex Submariner (when they were actually affordable). Even then I alternated between the Sub and the Seamaster. Still have and wear both. I also own a Breitling Navitimer Heritage (white face navy blue subdials) which I never wear.

A couple of years ago I became interested in vintage watches. My first vintage purchase was a 1937 Hamilton Linwood. Last fall, I returned to Omega with my second vintage purchase — a 1960s Seamaster De Ville (14k gold-filled, silver tone dial).

No idea what my next Omega will be, although it could be another Seamaster De Ville or maybe a Speedmaster FOIS. Hoping what I learn here will help me determine my next purchase.

Glad I found y'all and happy to be here!

Isn't 1503/825 the bracelet code for the Bond bracelet? I think you mean you upgraded from the quartz 2541.80.00 to the 2531.80.00 Auto.

I'm brand-new as of today as well! After 26 years of wanting, wishing and hoping...my wonderful wife acquired my dream watch...the Omega Seamaster Professional 300m Automatic 2531.80 worn by Pierce Brosnan in each of his movies as James Bond (with the exception of Goldeneye which was a quartz model)...laser, explosive timer and grappling hook not included! Happy 50th birthday to me...and probably each one from here on out!
