New Marstimer X-33 issues?

I just came across this older post and had the same thing happen to my Marstimer. It turned out that the watch had become magnetized from the magnetometer at the local courthouse. I used the cheap Chinese made demagnetizer three times and it seems to have cured the problem. Sort of surprising that this could have happened, given the level of shielding in the marstimer but then again, Mars has no magnetic field [!].

What is the attraction of this watch vs omega other anakig/digital watch?
Cool factor.

It is almost guaranteed no one else has one wherever you go.

Plus...
I use my G3 multiple times a day during the week. Regularly scheduled POD meetings at 0630 (which I don't need an alarm for), and 1300, which I need an alarm for. Throughout the week there are many impromptu scheduled meetings which I can quickly set one of the alarms or PETs for. Once you know how to use the features, its a one minute task to set a future alarm (PET) or regular alarm. While I typically remember all meetings and arrive early, occasionally I get tied up and the reminder alarm gets me back on schedule...plus, cool factor is no small thing.

Update…unfortunately, the problem has returned and subsequent demagnetization has not helped. Will have to send it in.

I just got the Marstimer from Omega at Bellagio. The sales staff had no idea how to set it up, so I left the store with it and went to my hotel to read the manual. The GMT and times on the digital display were correct, but the hands were way off. After a lot of reading, I found the mode to set the hands correctly and it seemed fine. Last night, about 6 days later, the hands were about 30 minutes off. So, I set them again in the power saving mode to all line up at 12. This morning, the hands were way off again. I will take the watch back to the store tomorrow and hopefully have updates soon.

Exact same problem that I described above. Unfortunately, had to go to Omega and I don’t expect to get it back for months. My third Skywalker. The other two were flawless.

Just as an update. I emailed the Omega store at Bellagio and Joel, the manager, set me up with a replacement. I've only had it for two days but so far it's working well, and this one the bezel lines up and the hands hit their marks correctly. Hopefully the first one was just bad luck. Shoutout to Joel, Benjamin, and the cool security guy working at Bellagio Omega.

Did you get yours back yet? I'm assuming it went back to Switzerland.
