x2. I will admit to eyeing that watch very, very closely.

I went to the ASTP 40th Anniversary event at The Stafford Air & Space Museum in 2015. Tom had already signed the ASTP meteorite watch box, but I was able to get Alexei to sign it. Then snap a photo with them and the box. I was wearing the watch. It was a great event. Tom and Alexei got up and gave a toast. Tom toasted in Russian and Alexei toasted in English. It was a nice meal in a little restaurant just outside of Weatherford, OK.

Amazing stuff. I am looking to buy my first moon watch too. Hope I can show it when it arrives.

Went with a leather strap for now....coincidentally, I had a new custom strap left that I hadn't used yet.

Best picture of this watch that I have ever seen. Can't wait to get my Soyuz ....

But who is making these reps that have correct sub-dial spacing. It's not common. Check the one on eBay now, it has the sliver on case back.

Beautiful watch. I have one. Only downside is the flaking of the back. 150 ish to replace but requieres it be sent in for a service. So about 400 really.

What do you mean flaking of the back? Can you elaborate?

The caseback was very uncomfortable to me so I could never own a watch that irritated me.

See how some of the black enamel has peeled off?
Oh yes I see around the apollo writing, what causes it? Just general wear or humidity level?

I would say don't even fix it, leave it original, will increase the value of the watch [emoji12]

It happened to mine shortly after purchasing it new so sent back FOC under warranty. Haven't checked the back since to see if it has happened again though

Could this explain the gap in the Starburst on the back? I'm skeptical there are quality replicas of this floating around, I've seen the existing ones. ALL are terrible without even considering the sub-dial spacing issue.
