Surprised to see the 2500 again. Not that there was anything wrong with it. Its a workhorse.

Extranet >> Global Search (2500E) >> 424 AU750-NY 39.5 2500E...

Thanks - global search is not a feature I use often.

Looks like even Omega is confused with this new calibre/watch.
'Product sheet' of this De Ville says "Power reserve 48h" 馃榾

Indeed, and on the updated version of the tech guide that you posted above, imagine the same guide now with another column on the far right side that says "Version E". In the power reserve section it does say the E is 55 hours, but somewhat strangely it also now says that the 2500D also has a 55 hour power reserve instead of the 48 that was shown in the previous tech guides like the one you posted. No changes were made to the D, so to be honest it's clear something there isn't right...

A new mainspring appeared in modification E. This is visible on a new line in the document (so far without a ref.).

Yes, that's clear. However the D didn't change any parts...

The 8800 is 4.6 mm thick, where the 2500 is 4.1 mm, so not a massive difference.

Interesting that when I look this new watch up on the Omega Extranet, it doesn't show the specific movement listed - it just says 2500. This is odd, because normally they show the latest variant of the movement used, which is a 2500D...or that WAS the latest movement until I saw an updated 2500 tech guide today, where the 2500E was added...馃槻

Although not a METAS movement, the 2500E has had a silicon balance spring added, so should be far less susceptible to magnetism than the other 2500 calibers are, and will also have better accuracy I would imagine, although I have not seen specs for that just yet. So although I thought the 2500 movement was not really being updated anymore, it appears it's still being modernized...

Cheers, Al

2500D or 2500E?? I purchased my Omega DeVille prestige cream dial from AD in July 2021, I thought it had a 2500D?
