Thanks, for the life of me I could not remember what that face was called - perfected by millennials for selfies.

Asked about buying the nato separately and also about the shorter strap options and they are getting back to me... Anyone else has success in these areas?

Hi, everyone. I’m new to this forum, and I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not the Milanese band for this watch will be sold separately at some point. Has anyone heard anything regarding that? Thanks.

You're talking about Omega. They'll sell you anything eventually so I wouldn't be surprised if the bracelet isn't for sale soon.

It sure will...but when exactly that will be, who knows? A few months ago, before the boutiques closed, my local one (Sydney) said that they had them on order...then the world shut down...but I called them again on Monday after they reopened and they said it's definitely coming, but still no ETA. Price wise, it'll be around $2000AUD. There's a bit of confusion about what's included though—Sydney said the bracelet and buckle are sold separately, Melbourne said it's one piece??

Has anyone in Europe or the US asked their boutiques about availability? Wondering if the same worldwide.

My OB said, the bracelet will be around 1300 EUR, but no information on its availability.

My OB told me that he only knows that the bracelet will be sold seperately, but no clue when or at what price.
Because of that I changed my order and will get the NATO strap later, but also no idea when ...

I have just read this entire thread today. I think @DaeMa9 mentioned that he has the same wrist circumference that i do (around 17.5cm/7inches). Would it be possible to see how the bracelet looks like on the back of your wrist? I'm curious about what length of strap I will have to 'tuck'

Sorry for answering so late, I was busy the last few weeks 😗

Here is a pictures on my 17,5cm wrist. It’s a very comfortable wear on hole 3.

And one picture to enable GAS 😎

Received my watch by special delivery from my AD today 😀

Having never owned a titanium watch before, first impression is I'm struck by how light it is and, in turn, how comfortable it is on the wrist.

The milanese bracelet..... My word - a thing of beauty. Overlap of excess strap is achieved unobtrusively both visually and comfort wise. I like to wear things snug so have it on the third last setting.

This is the first Seamaster for me and I was looking at picking up one of the standard iterations till I saw the no time to die model. It was pretty much love at first sight. Following this thread, the more pics people were posting, the more I knew I had to have it.

Registered interest with my AD. I have a great relationship with them. Was told there were some delays due to Covid but she would try and source one. Few weeks later I was sent the teaser pic above. Game over!! and I pulled the trigger immediately. As a good will gesture they are also going to throw in the official nato option for this model as soon as its available from Omega. Which is great, as I love the nato for this edition

In terms of all the chat over price and value. On one hand, I can understand this due to the premium over the standard Seamaster range.

However it is a completely unique Seamaster and quality, in objective terms, is on par with other items I've paid circa 7k for - (rolex hulk/milgauss etc). Plus this is titanium 😀

In the end, as with all purchases, it really depends if this is an object of lust at first sight. If so, the price point is moot as resale/value retention doesn't factor in. How much you love it is all that matters.

Also re the choice of aluminium bezel and the grade of titanium. My understanding, based on the official line from Omega, is that these were both deliberate choices, vs cost cutting, in keeping with the aesthetic Omega were trying to acheive.

Have watches in my collection with both aluminium (14060) and ceramic (116610LV) bezels. Both have pros and cons and I have no preference.

Aluminium will age, scratch and patina over time adding to the ruggedness.

Grade 2 aluminium has less lustre vs 5, in keeping with the muted tones of the watch.

Will post more thoughts later in the week when I've given some good wrist time 😀

Here are some requisite unboxing pics... For some reason they post back to front with the watch on my wrist vs the open package but you all get the gist I'm sure

Really can't wait to get mine. Unfortunately it seems that Tourneau is the only AD in the world not working to come through for their customers - but based on my experience, that's nothing new. Looking forward to being the last person to get theirs, long after this is no longer the cool new watch

The best things come to those who wait! Will be all the more sweeter when you get it on the wrist 😀

You'll love it whenever it arrives, I'm confident

P.S.

The Seamaster replaced this other watch on my wrist today, that im sure you'll recognise...

Yeah it bugs me that the bezel could be scratched and faded over time .. works for some people but not me

Omega have stated that the scratching, and fading of the bezel, (and dial) is the exact reason they have chosen to go with this configuration.

The watch will age and mature with the owner. The narrative being, that each scratch, and the development of patina being unique to each wearer.

After a few years each one will be reflective of each individual owner's experience.

I love this concept but, as you say, this narrative is not for all 😀

Can't wait until my local Omega boutique is open so I can go view this, will also look to see how it compares against the titanium/ ceramic Seamaster, also like to see a review comparing these two.

That's what I want to do. The ceramic / titanium vs 007 titanium. Can't decide from pictures. I have seen the ceramic in store (pics below). I think I will prefer the 42mm of the 007. Sitting on the fence about the fauxtina - again want to see that in person.

That looks go on you, unsure the 1mm will make a difference. But presume the weight will do.

My local AD had this in before lockdown and it looks smaller than the size suggest (illusion of black watches I guess). Not keen on the AD compared to the Omega Boutique. I have tried on the 44mm Apollo 8 Speedmaster which wore a lot smaller. Juts unsure in how ceramic is for daily wear, considering I do knock my watches.

That's another consideration. My GSOTM is in Switzerland for an outer case replacement, a small piece chipped off near the pin hole / lug hole. I am unsure exactly when and how it happened, but it did happen when I was changing the strap. My guess is that the spring bar tip hit the ceramic case at just the wrong angle and at just the wrong place right on the edge of the hole for the spring bar.

It's a very small chip and not visible with a strap on, but I was worried the spring bar could pop out and then the entire watch could drop on a hard surface. Rather depressing and at about 1000€ not a cheap fix. But they are re-engraving the original serial number, etc... on the watch.

Maybe I will stick to metal in the future 🤔

Also not posting a picture of the damage. I would be instantly banned for offensive graphic and inappropriate content 😉
