My guess is if it doesn’t have the omega world aka hologram etching it’s not a D.
It has been determined that it is actually a 2500C, but the World Logo is on my C that preceded the D so I’m not sure why the OP’s caseback is void of the mark?

The C could or could not have it. The etching has nothing to do with the movement inside. It has to do with a lawsuit with Costco.

since I happen to be wearing mine (3313 very late production.) Also note the professional was added on the back before the hologram etching. ( 99% sure it was that order. )

Hologram here too with no professional logo.

Relax😀
"Planet Ocean Professional" is a writting which Omega has put on the case back of chrono models.
"Planet Ocean" is a writting on the regular 3-handed dive watches, like yours and mine. I have two (2209 and 2201) and both case backs have no professional.

definitely not a D series, here is my 2500"D" on the date wheel numeral "thirty-one" for a comparison. Also just ask the seller for the serial number, any number of 8525XXXX or higher is mostly a D.

Yup, mine is a 2500C. But it's gone for a few months. Being serviced at omega. Went in for a complete overhaul.

Is the D worth the premium?
Yes and no. It is to some people.

From a chronometric standpoint no. They're arguably more collectable though, because Omega simply didn't make very many 2500D-equipped Planet Oceans before that generation was retired and the 8500 was introduced.
