He didnt have time to do it today!!! The seller is willing to meet up so we can go to his watchmaker which performed the overhaul and confirm its authenticity and movement version.
But wont be able today. I'm not worried about its authenticity. Just wanted to know the version. Of well. Here's another photo at the carwash lol

I am no expert and who knows if they had variations. I used to have a 2500 D and my date wheel was different. I never knew about the four but the 1 was different and I was told that was the difference.

either way congrats on a nice watch.

From what I’m gathering here, I think mine must be a 2500 C. Flat top four and generally no serif on the 1, except on the first and eleventh of the month. Photographer’s assistant is pictured, hoping to get a “like” or two.

I’ve never looked at this watch so closely!

Congrats OP!

But I believe this is a 2500C. Although it's not a 100% reliable way to tell, the shape of the "2" on the date wheel is a strong hint. Also if the serial is < 853 something that's another strong hint.

What's the difference between the c and d 2500? I sure like that orange planet ocean. Got me looking for one now

What about the 8500 how does it compare?

Well let me get you to really look for one...if you think it's nice in pics, multiply that by 2000 so you can know how good it looks in real life.
Love mine.

8500 is an excellent watch. Very accurate and reliable. Very little difference between the 8500 and the current 8900. The 8500 will sit a bit taller on the wrist as the movement is a bit thicker. It has a sapphire display case back. This is my son’s. It’s over 5 years old, has been worn daily and still keeps excellent time.

The 2500C has a much lower profile than the 85/8900 movements and fits nicely under a dress shirt cuff.

Oh that’s right, you have the other one with the nick next to the 30, in the exact same place as mine!

Watch stopped working suddenly. It was overhauled in December. Is it possible the screw wasnt tight and it came off and now blocking the movement?

So, the watch is going to omega to replace the missing screw and to make sure everything else is in order. (Watch got an overhaul in December)
Gone for 2-3 weeks.

My guess is if it doesn’t have the omega world aka hologram etching it’s not a D.
