·Agreed. Everyone still buys a Datejust and it looks the same as it did in the 60s. Why can’t omega just make a 166.010 seamaster on a BOR again. I’d buy one provided it wasn’t 10 grand 😂
Don't worry. When they do that, it won't be 10 grand.
It'll be more like 15 grand. Or solid gold and $30K.

·Wow, I pie pan return would be great. I know I am asking too much, but if the lugs are curved (which I can not recognize from the pictures) is going to be even better IMO. I am still digesting the drop of the curved lugs in the new PO.

·I know there’s a few people who love this model. I actually love the looks but went to an AD to try it on and didn’t love how thick it was. And 39mm felt too big. Plus the bracelet is lacklustre
Also, it has a pie pan dial, but it otherwise has nothing in common with he Connie's everyone wants.

I am a fan of the c case inspired look with the fluted bezel but yes you’re right it’s defo not what everyone is asking for. That would be too hard for omega to just make something people want 😂

The Globemaster not being a big seller has little to do with it being a pie pan or not IMO. My issue with it was always that it's neither dressy nor sporty. I'm not sure what it's for or what it does better than other watches in their lineup. It also looks huge.
The one Delroy is wearing looks like a classic Constellation, which I think makes an awesome dress watch. I'm way more interested in that.

·It's bizarre that the luxury brands won't reissue the things we want.
Meanwhile Seiko is churning out nearly 1:1 reproductions of their greatest hits.
What's even more bizarre is when they finally do, it's some limited edition extremely expensive release that the majority of customers can't afford.

·Urgh, I'm so sad... that is hideous. I'm thrilled there is at least a steel version, but the dial doesn't catch the awesomeness of a Pie Pan.
The lugs are odd too, they are short and chunky. I'm glad they went with dog-leg-esque legs, but the dial texturing ruins the pie-pan-ness to me.

·I think it’s a pretty good release. Although I’m not sure how I feel about the dial, particularly those grooves on the outer track. But that’s to be expected from me because I never figured out which of the pie pan constellations I preferred.
I’m sure there’s gonna be lots of talk about the price as to be expected these days. I’m not mad about it in this case because they actually made some improvements.
1) new movement with an increased power reserve.
2) use of Omega steel alloy that is harder than 904L Steele and it is whiter in color. It’s similar to the Lucent steel used by Chopard.
I too would have preferred a secondhand. Slightly smaller dimensions would have been preferred by me too, but that is more of a personal preference.
I’m happy with my New York Boutique Seamaster which has similar applied dial furniture. A longer power reserve and Omega Steel would be awesome though.
