Hi everyone!
I am a budding omega fan looking for their first speedy (preferably a vintage one馃槈)! I have a budget of usd$9000 or less, I am looking for what watches and references that would be best fit for someone who loves omegas and fancy things in general!
Thank you to everyone for their help in finding my first speedy!

So I might suggest avoiding a vintage speedy for a first one, unless you have extensive vintage experience. Owning/wearing vintage watches is a bit of an ordeal.

For $9k, you can get a brand new Sapphire sandwich, or for a bit less ($7800) you can get teh classic hesalite. You can do a little better from some ADs, grey dealers/etc, but thats the 'worst case'.

As far as Vintage, others can help more than I can, but I'd suggest keeping an eye on the classifieds here. A few I see that were posted recently that look pretty good at first look to me:

Both from the same seller interestingly enough!

The reason I made a whole new thread was I wanted to follow the guidelines that Makesbelieve posted.

Vintage can be very rewarding, but the general rule is you can over pay and get a good one, you can over pay and get a bad one, you can be cheap and get a bad one, but very few instances have people got a cheap good one, until they have repeated the first three scenarios several times.

So get a good one, don't be frightened to over pay from a reputable seller, and live and learn.

Now...On to the reputable seller concept...
