Help deciding on my next purchase

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me pick my next watch!

I currently have a 2021 Speedy which I love. It was an engagement gift from my partner, and I think it is excellent. Perfect size, beautiful, great history attached. Picture of my own:

I recently let go of an old piece and am looking to pick up something new (to me anyway - don't mind if it's used!). Whilst I love my Speedy, I frequently have to take off my watch off at work and am hesitant to wear it because of that. I also prefer a date complication. (Full disclosure: I often wear an Apple Watch to work 😲)

I want it to be able to dress up or down, be automatic (for convenience), have a date complication and a reasonable level of water resistance. Budget is around £2000.

In an ideal world, what I'd really like is an Explorer I. But that is way out of budget and doesn't have a date.

Ideas I've had:
1. An early Planet Ocean - but I don't know if this would be too chunky on my wrist for more formal days
2. An Aqua Terra - hits all the right spots but I just don't know if I like the 'teak' dial
3. A Nomos - Club Atlantik maybe? I love how these watches look and their value for money. The Orion also looks great (but not particularly rugged). Weltzeit also looks excellent.
4. A Tudor Black Day - but no date.

My watches do tend to take a bit of a beating- on and off all the time and generally a bit knocked about.

(I know the budget might have to wiggle a little bit to fit some of these in!)

Any comments/suggestions much appreciated!

PO and Tudor are chunky imo having worn both before. The bulge gets to me. I think the Aqua Terra is suitable

Totally biased but I say aqua terra. But only because I just bought it!

I'm biased and think you should go for the vertical teak Aqua Terra.
Although I just literally bought my watch and absolutely love it I will say that I do like the old style better.
