Hello all!

I'm new here and basically quite newbie what comes towards watches. Got this Omega Speedmaster as a inheritance from my father and I'm trying to solve out what I actually got here. I've searched quite a many places and also interested to learn about these Speemaster watches and I hope you could help me further and I'm willing to discuss everything about this watch. I can take more photos if something particular is interesting about the watch.

Here are my findings and thoughts so far:
- Back cover stamp 145.012 -67 and the serial number 2500XXXX matches, also has caliber 321 movement.
- Bezel is maybe wrong for this version, this is supposedly the DN90 bezel, because the dot is next to number 90. It should be DO90 bezel accodring to Speedmaster101.
- The chronograph hand is wrong and this is supposedly the "Lollipop" hand that belongs to much older version of Speedmaster. Little bit detached material from the ring.
- The pistons are 5 mm in diameter and 3 mm in height so maybe also wrong kind of. Speedmaster101 says that should be 5 x 3.5 mm and these 5 x 3mm are for older model.
- Bracelet says 1171/1 and it's maybe a service bracelet. The links are 633.

So most definitely there are several things that doesn't match and I'm quite sure my father has serviced this watch at some point, maybe several times and maybe these parts was changed then. Some kind of Frankenstein monster in the making, I suppose, although the watch is in decent shape overall 馃榾

Now I notice the alignment of the 120. I take it the bezel was replaced and put on badly.

Not too franken to me. Just serviced with different parts. Shame about the lume on the lollipop, you could have sold it a got a DON a correct used sweep for its value.
I am a fan of keeping it how your father wore it though. If you have memories of him wearing it, it is a lovely reminder.

Thank you for catching that one. The photo is also a little bit tilted, but now when I'm looking the watch there are for sure maybe 1-2 degrees of misalignment between the bezel and dial. The chronohand seems to be also about the same amount offset to other direction.

The more I look at the the watch the more it seems to my eyes that the dial itself is misaligned, not the bezel. Could it even be possible, is there some kind of guides at the dial or is it free to mount at any position?

The watch movement needs service for sure, also good to figure out other things to fix.

Yeah, I have understood that this lollipop hand is quite rare and maybe wanted piece, but too shame it isn't in best condition. So those DON bezels are also quite expensive if the lollipop hand would've covered the DON bezel expenses? Of course would be at least nice to know what it would take to start to restore it with relevant parts.

The watch is pretty as it is in my eyes and nothing disturbs me and the sentimental value is also real so might as well leave it like this and just service it properly.
