I like them both but when comparing in person I preferred the black.

I made the silly mistake of trying on the grey dial. Needless to say I’m confused as ever. Thoughts on this dial?

Personally I hate it. I know a lot of people like it though.

Yeah, I went to the AD and looked at the blue, black and grey or gray and decided immediately that it had to be blue or black.

But it doesn't matter what me or any other semi-anonymous Internet avatar thinks or says. All that matters is what you like. And the wife. It never hurts to get her opinion.

I think the size is just about right for you, imo the wave stands out better in the black

Blue dial, Blue bezel. No waves. Dang, I wish they made that combo without a date.

What color shoes and belt do you usually wear? The black dial will suit darker leather accessories, while a blue dial sits midway between black and tan and will serve well with either.

This assumes you are wearing it on a bracelet. If on a watch band, then of course the band must match the belt and shoes.

Assuming here everyone knows shoes and belt cannot be different colors from each other unless it's because the shoes are two-tone, and then at least one tone must match the belt color.

In short, the choice depends what you will wear with it. If it's a watch for actual sport use, then the selection doesn't matter. Buy what you like impulsively.

I know there are some people who fret about belt, shoes, watch strap matchups, along with wedding ring color matching their watch case, fortunately I'm not one of them. I could give a hoot if my brown belt, black shoes and red striped strapped watch clash. It just doesn't matter to me, and I know it doesn't matter to 99.999% of people I might meet on the street. But for those that deem it important, you have to do what you have to do.

As far as the original question goes, I think it is a tossup, both look good. Don't think you could go wrong with either one. Just personal preference.

To each their own. Fashion tips exist for people who believe they add up to a sharp look. That doesn't matter to everyone.

Agree. There is no right or wrong in this area, it all depends on what is important to any particular individual.
