If you are going iconic - then blue.

I was put off by how light the blue was compared to other iterations and went black. Don't regret it, love the way the black changes in the light. A darker blue may have swayed me.

Regardless, its a great watch. Do not be put off by the size.

Blue for me

Looks black in dark environments and looks unbeatable in direct sun

If its your only watch, go black, its more versatile and will fit in better in more situations.

However, if you have a collection then definitely go blue. Its more iconic and playful.

Black looks better in person and most lighting conditions. Also more versatile. Blue looks nicer in bright sunlight.

This video may make your life harder (mute the horrible music)

I vote for the blue...just seems appropriate for it being a SEAmaster. Different watch, but just love the blue on it

I had the same delima when buying mine earlier this year. I decided to go with the blue because (as others have stated) it is iconic, it is unique, and it really does pop in the sun.

I could have bought the black one and not regretted it.

Buy the one that you like, whichever speaks to you. Can't decide? Buy both.

The age old question... blue or black seamaster? I am going to purchase the new Seamaster 300m pro diver and I really am unsure which to buy. Half of me thinks that the blue is the better purchase because its more unique (Rolex has no blue diver on just steel) and it is the more iconic version. The other half of me loves the look of the black better. Any thoughts?

PS: anything think this is too big?

Squan

The size is perfect on you. As for the color, the blue is very nice, and probably lends itself to match different outfits better, but this is a dive watch darn it, and dive watches are traditionally black so that would be my choice.

You can't go wrong. And while the Brosnan Bond was blue in its most famous iteration, I would go black. Something about this particular model looks so gooooooood in the black. But if you bought the blue I'd still love it!

has to be blue if not for the simple fact there WERE no blacks or rose golds etc when it first came out - blue is the original and best imo

I made the silly mistake of trying on the grey dial. Needless to say I’m confused as ever. Thoughts on this dial?

I don't mind it, but it does sort of wash out all the lettering. Wish it were more bold.

I tried the grey on at the AD and for whatever reason their lighting made the dial look cheap so it was a turn off for me.

Blue. I feel like it takes on so many different shades when the light hits it and is more interesting than the black. Both are great though

I went for the Blue, would have been really tempted by the white. The gray, to me at least, looks "unfinished" and kinda bland. I'm sure it has its it's fans, just doesn't speak to me. Think It would work better with a black or gray bezel.

Go with Black. I just did because it looks better to me than the blue and will go with anything. Go with your gut and you'll be happy.

If I was buying one it would be that one. It is my favorite. Love the way the bezel and dial contrast each other.
