Need Help Deciding...

The age old question... blue or black seamaster? I am going to purchase the new Seamaster 300m pro diver and I really am unsure which to buy. Half of me thinks that the blue is the better purchase because its more unique (Rolex has no blue diver on just steel) and it is the more iconic version. The other half of me loves the look of the black better. Any thoughts?

PS: anything think this is too big?

Between the two you are thinking of I really think blue brings out the dial texture better. Also brings the watch to life a little more. If the opportunity presents itself I would certainly pick one up in the hopefully not too distant future.

I agonized over this, black, maybe, gray, no, white, maybe, then I went to look, My AD let me compare the black & blue outdoors, I choose the blue, it's stunning in sunlight, subtle in subdued light. I suggest, if possible compare them in different light. Sorry about the slightly blurry pic, taken with my tablet.

I have owned both, kept the black. Partly because I had the blue covered with a Pelagos and partly because I prefer the levels of contrast on the black dial version, which suits the dressy diver vibe beautifully.

Still, could have gone either way, and been just as happy, and certainly the blue dial changes dramatically under various lighting conditions. Difficult choice for sure, but no wrong one.

Good choice. I bought one only a few weeks ago and love it. The watch is a stainless steel sculpture and the ceramic blue suits it superbly.

Go the blue - it's pretty unique and iconic for this style of seamaster. I wouldn't say no to either though!

I love both. Go with the one that really speaks to you. If you're worried about the size, think about how it felt on your wrist when you tried them both on.

I was dead set on an AP Royal Oak until I tried it on and found that it was really uncomfortable and even sizing the links appropriately it was a bad fit.

Addressing comfort, have found this quite comfortable on my 7" wrist, weight is not a problem, works with cuffs just fine. The real gem here is the adjustable clasp, should be standard on all Omega bracelets, as well as half & quarter links. Whatever color you choose, it's really a superb timepiece.

You can't go wrong with either so if it is a close call.. flip a coin. Otherwise, my choice would be blue if I had a lot of black dial watches in my collection. If I was looking for just "one watch to rule them all" it would be black.

Both are exceptionally good looking.

Size looks good on you 👍 and either one is perfect but if I would have to vote for one then I would choose the black dial version.

Both colours look great on the Seamaster 300m Pro.... BUT... I lean towards the blue.
Why?... I figured that this is a dive watch, you will be using it out in the open sea, clear sky and blue water.
A blue dial Seamaster would be a wonderful fit.. on your wrist as you swim among the fishes....

I don’t think it looks too big at all. As for colour, depends what you want it for. I have other more formal watches so i’d Go blue.

Btw - my personal preference is the rubber strap. Imo it wears a bit smaller across the wrist.

if it's only one watch then the blue diver is the way as it will satisfy two urges (blue and diver).

if not then as Danielbird193 above writes the black seamaster and the blue AT.

I have the same problem, i'm undecided which one to go for.
