When possible, visit an Authorized Dealer or Omega Boutique that has a 43.5 on rubber strap, and try it out for comfort, in-person first?

I got the leather outer + rubber inner OEM strap when purchasing my 43.5 Planet Ocean, and have worn that for all of 5 minutes. I didn't like how the little rubber waves felt against the skin... although the watch does look really cool on a blue strap!

Ultimately, I found the bracelet to be much more comfortable. My OEM rubber strap for the PO now just sits in my closet. I doubt I'll ever wear it again. It's so uniquely molded to fit a big & thick dive watch with a 21mm lug span. So not very flexible for pairing with other watches you may have in your collection.

Definitely recommend trying one on in person, wearing it in the store for few minutes while trying out a range of arm motions, and see how comfortable you find it before buying a rubber strap for your PO.

Thanks very much for the advice, if I have this option I will try and do so. I do have a rubber strap on one of my other watches a Raymond Weil, it may not be as chunky as the PO but I do like the feel and while working from home wear this one.
I've had a quote from a retailer for the strap and the clasp that is about what i expected but it would be a fairly costly mistake to purchase and not enjoy wearing... They do look great in my opinion though!

Yayyy POs 馃槑

Damn I love this watch. Every time I see a picture I want one even more.
That's it, this year I'm selling some other watches to buy one of these.

Still loving and daily driving my 8900 after a year and a half. The OB threw in a black and orange rubber strap for free when I purchased it. It looks great (IMO) but also find it makes the watch sit a little oddly on the wrist so mostly stick with the bracelet
