Yeah you`re right but did you really think back there in the middle of the seventies there where something like high or low drain?
You`re in need of a high drain if you need a higher ammount of current immiadetly when you have some fancy options like alert.
So imho you`re going well with the 301 also even when you think of the higher voltage of 0,2V.
At last it should be anytime a silveroxid from a known brand and a trustable source.
So that should be enough off topic let`s get back to the question of Mrpicmath36.
I find it hilarious you choose to argue with an electronics technician and a watchmaker who services Omega.
You're an electrical engineer, right?
Omega uses Renata batteries, and Renata is owned by Swatch along with Omega.
You`re totally right and I`m happy to know the factory `cause for me it`s around the corner like Biehl 😉.
Whenever possible I use Renata batteries and their gold line but not any Renata batterie is available as gold line.
Personally, I avoid them like the plague, but to each his own.
As for engineers, you'll find there are many here, myself included. At least two of the watchmakers here are former engineers...
Sadly I heard that several times but my personel theory is that there are many counterfeits on sale and I believe that sellers often don`t know for the fact.
And then customers had bad experience with Renata batteries.
I just tried to turn the trimmer on the right as the little arrow indicate (1-2 turns) . The watch working after the manipulation. I ll tell you if the problem is resolved. Thanks.
