77 Omega Quartz - minute hand stuck when setting

Hi all, recently bought this watch off of eBay. The minute hand is stuck when setting but moves after being set. Any ideas on what it could be? Google mentions a million things. Hoping to keep it and not return it, so curious if it’s something potentially expensive. I know it may be tough without opening it up to see the movement. Thanks!

Turning of the crown only sets the hour hand. To set minute and second, you need to push the button in the center of the crown for 5 seconds, release, and quickly push again. The second and minute hands will advance. Do a search on Youtube on "omega 1342", you will get a number of videos explaining how to set the watch.

Be a good idea to remove the bracelet and put a nice strap on it. The spring-loaded end pieces will eventually chew away at the lugs.

Already done. The spring bars were challenging to get off though; definitely seizing up a bit. I have a brown lizard leather strap headed my way.
