So, i am wondering if you can help me out on my search. I wanted to add a watch to the collection for this summer, an easy to wear quartz Omega. I really like the Omega Marine Porthole, see pic attached:

So, a (i prefer vintage) quartz Omega, around 39/40mm, Gerald Genta style, but no date. Even ChatGPT couldn't help me out. A needle in a haystack or does it not exist at all?

That is a sharp looking watch. I don't have anything in quartz, but dang I'd love to wear that. Somehow the entire thing works incredibly well. Can't help though.

Wasn’t popular then so won’t be easy to find now. Good luck. You’ll need it.

ps I’ve never seen that style before. Did you ever see it in the wild? Are you even sure it’s a production model.

Funny enough, a friend of mine bought a watchmaker’s estate a few years ago and found a drawer full of these cases and dials. All appeared to be NOS but without movements, crowns, or hands. Quite a few people thought they were fake.

He had a bit of trouble getting rid of them but eventually sold them on eBay.

And did any of them match this?

I am even wondering if Omega even ever did release a no-date quartz watch?

Yes! I was digging for photos, but I haven’t found them yet. The lot was mixed if I recall correctly. Some rectangular and others like the one OP posted about. Mostly ladies, but some men.

I did, however, find a photo of a ladies example from the lot. I’ll post the other photos if I find them.

Just from a quick look around google, I just see the date (edit: oops) version. Someone listed one on watchexchange for $750 a year ago, and it looks like it didn't get much attention. Might be able to snag one for even less when they pop up.
