Hi all members of OF.

I want to share another of my new watch.

This one was Omega seamaster ref.2577-22 with uncommon “golfer dial”, serial no. 13,636,xxx (around 1953) and powered by caliber 354.

In my opinion,
  • The dial looks original with patina
  • The font of “OMEGA , AUTOMATIC, Seamaster” was correct (when compared to another “golfer” examples)
  • The hours markers were original with esp. the large “Arabic number” at 3/6/9/12 o’clock
  • The minute tracks were original with gold spots
  • The hands were original
  • The case and lug quite OK
  • The crown was original
  • The caseback was original
  • The movement looks quite clean
  • The crystal may notbe original

I try to collect another examples in this forums and in google.

I found this one from @Privateday7 (posted since 2016 when he visited Omega museum)

Others examples (from @wannabeWC , @Vitezi and @Ko1892 ):

My wrist shot:

That Omega logo looks like the new one, but the watch is from 1953ish?

I'm curious to know if there have been other uses of that logo

Beautiful watch, definitely don't play golf with it 😁

Wow, congrats on your purchase. Didn't even know such a dial existed! So interesting... Thanks for sharing. 👍

And wear it in the best of health!

Thanks for the point from @Ko1892 .

Please not that only my version got “no” luminous plot at 2/3/4/5/7/8/10/11 hour markers so the hands should be “no” minute markers too.

Nice example from @Ko1892:

Mine:

In my opinion, this version’s also correct too.

Thanks

I've got the exact same watch, they are beautiful! Any chance they are rare and very valuable? 🤣

See this thread for all things 2577. They seem to be uncommon. Rare is probably not correct. Value is largely determined by condition. Your watch is at low end of condition with dial patina and missing text, and case looks like gold cap is damaged/worn through on lugs. Look at other examples and compare in this thread as well as the attached. So I wouldn’t plan early retirement quite yet…, Yes I agree they are beautiful, including yours!!

I wasn't expecting anything like that 🤣🤣🤣
