But if you have extra money to buy a second or third one, 166.010 gives you more choices than 168.024.
168.024 has only one SS option meanwhile 166.010 gives you lots of variations to enjoy : 14 k gold capped, SS or blacked dial etc...

Really nice watch ! I sometimes plan to flip my 166.067 for this reference. Do you know what is the lug to lug on this one ?

I mean the distance from the bottom of a lug to the top of the opposite one ?

Like the green measurement on the picture above.

this watch is tough to find with the cross hairs...
How about black & cross hairs?

This one is currently away being serviced by a respected forum member.
A genuine crystal and new seconds hand will be fitted at the same time.
Lovely watches that can be worn for most occasions.

Now you're just messing with me @Noddyman! I'd love to own a black dial vintage Omega someday, too bad an original dial in condition like yours are as rare as hen's teeth...

My contribution to this thread 😉

Does anyone know if a 1098 or a 1069 band could be fitted to a 166.010 case? For example, noticed the 1118 bracelet is the 18mm version of the 1098 and wonder if those ends would work on the 166.010

I would say the biggest difference is the cost/resale value
(later addition: since by now these watches would be serviced, the difference in performance of a 565 vs 564 is dependent on how each was serviced), am I correct?

correct me if I'm wrong, but the Seamaster on the left is not a 166.010, looks like a "fat lug" to me....?
