Thanks. I agree that it's probably a mod. Do you think an Omega boutique can verify this?

Yes and so can anyone (watchmakers) that have access to Omega parts list...they'll be able to verify the serial to see originally how the watch came on that case.

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the forum. Have been lurking for quite a bit haha. Bought my first Omega today: The Mitsukoshi Speedy.

Released as a 300-piece ltd edition for Japan's Mitsukoshi department stall. However, there were some spare dials released by Omega. Managed to get a converted one with an original Mitsukoshi dial on a 3570.50 base with original papers, bracelet and original dial and hands. Mine looks exactly the same as the original Mitsukoshi, just that the address on the warranty card isn't stated Mitsukoshi.

This piece is flat-out gorgeous in real-life. I just love Panda dials. I went "wow" the instant I saw it. The dial appears more silver and opaline-like than white. The dial has a sort of shimmer/gleam that cannot be captured in photos. Watch is in excellent condition. The case does not have any scratches/dents etc. Adore it to bits. Gotta mount it on the bracelet!

Also managed to reserve a Speedy Tuesday ltd edition. Gonna have 2 pandas in the future!

Just reading this old post and thereby learned what a Mitsukoshi is! Something new every day! Thanks for taking a couple extra minutes to bring everyone up to, ahem, Speed!

If I'm eventually looking to find a couple of watches to install my spare dials - a Mitsukoshi dial with silver hands, and my white Italian Dial with black hands. Would you guys recommend a Hesalite Speedy for the Mitsukoshi and the Sapphire Sandwich for the Italian white dial? Would it be an abomination to do the Mitsukoshi on a Sapphire Sandwich?

Beautiful - love the last couple of mods with the silver (or white?) subdial hands. No offence to the original, but why on earth would they fit black hands on black subdials? Is it just aesthetics - so that the 3 black circles are not 'broken' by the contrasting hands? Seems odd anyway.

That's a gorgeous watch! I wish they made more Speedy's with white dials!

Has anyone ever put black hour and minute hands on the Mod?

Do you think the white lume on those hands would be enough to make them legible when they were over the subdials?

Ah, I see. I looked at Cincindela's pic (and one other) and the subdial hands looked black, but looking more closely, I take it they are actually a silver or chrome type finish? Which from certain angles look black.
Love to see one 'in the flesh' to dispel any misconceptions 🥰
