Thanks @Flatfoot, I quite like that the dial has taken on an off-gold (?word) tint. Love the multicolor design of the Movado that @slique12 has for sale.

I have gotten some new straps and excited to spend some time with the Movado.

Yes, that dial has aged quite gracefully. I'll go with off-gold as the description.

I rather like the combination of the gold case and that forest green strap on your 95M. Looking forward to seeing it on the other strap colors you decide upon.

I have no picks but I like movado. I have a vizio I got of eBay prob 15 years ago. Never gave me a bit of trouble. Love the look on the vizio. I also picked up a used one (that shows the numbers) for 90 bucks on eBay. It was a middle of the road model but also a work horse. Yes both are quartz but they have there place.

I’d love to pick up one of those vintage automatics you guys are showing but I’m hunting too many things at the minute

Just found out that I have a craving for the M90 with mushroom pushers. Are these the only Movado's with such pushers?

My two Movado M95 have engraved the crest from The Royal Norwegian Air Force. Anyone else seen this before? In my search i have found 8 different watches with this engravings. The story behind it is kind of cloudy, but most likely they were worn by aircrew in late 50s and 60s.

That’s pretty good because Norway only had four fighters in the air force, and three pilots.

Long gone but not forgotten. I think I’d have kept it if it was solid gold rather than plated.

I’m very interested in a vintage automatic movado. I see prices all over the place and I have damn near zero knowledge on the old models, names and dates. How do you go about determining a good price to pay on a vintage specimen. Is chronos and past eBay sales the best way to get an idea? I know the bottom line is things are worth what people are willing to pay but the few I see available for face to face purchase in my area just seem a bit to steep when I factor in getting it serviced right after purchase which is what I usually do.

Edit: I posted a 'dot' watch before @jhross98 let me know about this being a vintage thread. Oops.

Also heard about it being viewed the equivalent of Invictas. Heh. 😁

What happened to Movado? The pics here of these vintage ones are amazing. I’ll admit I did buy a Vizio a number of years ago, I liked the dial and the steel but it seems they really just focus on quartz and those damn museum style watch. I see some new ones that are interesting but overall they seem pretty plain.

Wow...how am I just discovering this thread...there is a pool of drool on the floor due to all these M95s. Is it possible to declare dibs on multiple watches at once??
