My only Movado was owned by the gentleman in the middle of the photo.

Mr Neil Buchanan, an Australian Squadron leader in WW2 and also one of the founders of Cathay Pacific, pictured here in the middle, with the 2 other founders.
I wonder if that's the same watch he is wearing in the photo

Any Movado "Panda" checks every box in my mind for any vintage wrist watch....Love love love the gold cased chronos! Movado nails the arabic markers like no other...reminds me a lot of Omega's applied arabic markers, very "deco" in their execution.

I hope this thread doesn't lead in down an additional path of collecting... or maybe I do

My two Movado M95 have engraved the crest from The Royal Norwegian Air Force. Anyone else seen this before? In my search i have found 8 different watches with this engravings. The story behind it is kind of cloudy, but most likely they were worn by aircrew in late 50s and 60s.

 

Very interesting, I recall a mention of Royal norwegian air force watches before but I can't remember if they were Movados. Maybe @Northernman would know?
Now it would be great if you would post pictures of their dial too
