Movado HS 360 Datron Super Sea Sub 41mm, automatic PHC 3019 (similar El Primero). Quick set date. Chronograph, quick set date all function correctly. Vintage circa 1969.

Serviced August, 2021. Recently had adaptation on pillar wheel added. According to watchmaker, my watch was an early production and soon after the adaptation piece was added by Movado but mine never got it. The arrow points to it in the movement photo.

Original Guy Feres bracelet with dive extension.
Original MC endlinks.
Original rotating Bakelite bezel.
Original screw-in crown.
Original crystal.
Pusher cap for start/stop is replacement (slightly smaller compared to reset).
Tritium lume in good condition.
Minute sub-register hand is white. Other two steel. Some of these Datrons came with steel or white. It's possible it was replaced but it's possible it wasn't.

Note: original means appears correct vintage and manufacturer. I have no knowledge what came from the factory.

This watch attracted me because Jerry Carr wore a similar Datachron HS 360. His was also a blue dial, which is what I searched out. Many Datrons come with black dials. Jerry wore his personal Movado on the same flight as his crewmate Bill Pogue, who wore his Seiko.

Condition wise the dial has started to brown on the edges, which is what we often describe as a tropical dial. I'm not saying it is a tropical dial, but instead directing your attention to the dial edges.

The bezel has a couple dings, with a small crack near the 8 o'clock area. As far as these bakelite bezels go, IMHO this one would be in better than average condition with its nice patina lume at 12.

The case appears unpolished with good brushing. There are some light scratches near the lugs that seemingly came from spring bar scratches, as well as very small dings in a few spots.

The bracelet fits my 7.25 inch wrist. The dive extension did not come on all these Super Sub Seas but people more knowledgeable than I am believe it was originally offered by Movado. Both the ladder style Guy Feres bracelet and dive extension are not rare but they aren't often seen either.

The service is not warrantied as it was from 2021.

Price is reduced to $3950 USD with shipping and insurance to continental US and Canada. Elsewhere to be discussed.

Returns only if the watch was not described accurately. In that event, please notify me within two days after delivery. Return shipping and insurance to be split, in the event I missed something. Please examine the photos closely, as I have tried to show the good, bad and the ugly. PM if you have any questions.

Watch is located on West Coast, USA.

Could someone please buy this these movados kill me I like them so much and I know pdx doesn’t use bitcoin lightning network so I’m not going to ask. Look how tastefully the date is sitting at 12. I think it’s only fair if you are dropping a decent amount of greenery on a watch it should give you a little more info than just the time.

Dummy me years back got a movado Vizio cause I thought it looked so cool. Oh well.
