As we’ve seen with recent auctions there is no logic or reason for some of the pricing. There’s been lots of theories and speculation ie money laundering, auctioneers colluding with dealers, folks with endless buckets of cash and those wanting to transfer their money into an asset which is tax free. I guess that’s the thing with auctions that we all find interesting and entertaining. What would be good is to hear from forum members that have submitted lots into some of the biggest auction houses and to find out about there own experiences in terms of the service provided and estimates being achieved or vastly exceeded.

Arnaud Tellier, Antiquorum Director for Asia-Pacific, pleased with the results, highlighted that in addition to the great results achieved for Patek Philippe, Rolex and Audemars Piguet, the Omega “Speedmasters” from the 60’s & 70’s also performed very well, demonstrating that these references remain a safe investment for collectors.
A safe investment 😁

Breitlings can indeed be very nice and underappreciated watches...

I'm happy at those prices, I have an 105.003.64 EW in far better condition with 506's and a 1035 with a folder of history - is it wise to put a deposit on a Lambo yet??

Nah, hold on a while and it’ll be a straight swap 😉

do they really make capybara gloves??? I had a few of those guys living next to one of my field projects in Colombia. Cute little things, and they saved me a ton of money by moving onto my project area, turning it into an ecological zone.
