·Was thinking of just upgrading to the Hercules Mose outboard PS which gets the heat out of the plinth and is apparently more stable- read good things but haven’t tried it.

Now would seem to be an appropriate opportunity to roll out my creative masterpiece again. I wonder if it's worth getting in touch with the French authorities and suggesting it should be added to the Lascaux Caves......😗 🤪

This reminds me of boarding school, way back in the day. Almost all of us had Omegas, Pateks and JLCs. In the middle of one term, and American boy arrives with a Rolex, proceeding to blast the rest of us because we weren't sporting "the best" watch in the world.
When I got to the States for Uni, it was the same thing.
I'll stick to my trusty Omegas, Patek and Reverso, thankyouverymuch.
*edit: By the way, I don't own a Speedmaster. It would look like the living room ottoman on my wrist, as would most of the favourite Rolex models and nearly every watch out there in today's market.
