So smarmy and witty. Based on your PhD in Psychology you have also been able to perfectly profile me and my intentions, including my, obviously, covert desire to trick everyone into thinking I am simply posting to serve myself.... G-d forbid there should be a marketplace better than the cesspool of eBay where like minded collectors can reach out to one another, do their due diligence and transact... Whatever, enjoy your views from the ivory tower.
E egriComplaining about the post threshold; how original. No one has ever done that before...
You're still ahead of my pace; I've been here a little over a year. At this rate I'll hit 200 sometime in 2027.
(2) No one who works in the ivory tower (or my local church) is such a shrinking violet that they would omit the "o" from "God"; was that for you, or the bevy of academics you were thinking you were talking to?
Ohh I get to up my post count just by posting here!
and here is a watch pic to legitimize the posting…
This is customary in Jewish tradition. You should not take the Lord’s name in vain (one of the Top 10, IIRC). Therefore, you write it with the dash, because all written words are considered to be ephemeral and will be destroyed one day. Even on the internet.
I’ll take it you are not one of the “bevy of academics” he was talking to.

If I’m not mistaken not using God in Hebrew is not about “thou shall not use the lords name in vain” but more because you are trying to name something that the human mind can not comprehend. Mind you I’m not Jewish and could be wrong but I spent a lot of time in flushing NY and that is how a Rabbi explained it to me.

You’re Catholic, close enough.
“No, I too went to temple Beth-Am and I know that Rabbi Rubinstein tended to cut on a bias.... and you just pissed on my shoe”.
It’s a pity im so late to this thread. I’m an avid collector of hands.
